Delegates should not wear or bring any items to the conference that is tied to the representation of their country. ALTMUN’s no prop policy is in place to ensure serious and respectful international representation. Anything outside of standard Western Business Attire (WBA) should not be worn at ALTMUN. The only exceptions to this rule are lapel pins with the nations flag and the ALTfun summer conference. Below are a list of example items that are not allowed at ALTMUN either for falling outside of WBA or are considered props. 

• hats or head attire of any kind
• sandals, or decorative foot wear
• pictures, picture frames, or portraits of political figures, celebrities or other individuals
• hand props (items carried around or placed on their desk)
• decor (items to adorn the desk, chair or floor around the delegate): including table top flags
• consumables: food, drink, dry good or other items

Any delegate wearing or carrying a prop at ALTMUN conferences will be asked to remove the item immediately, if the item returns after the initial request the item will be confiscated and given to the School’s advisor.  Delegates should represent their assigned nations through their policies, allies and resolutions not through caricatures or costumes.
